D. Lee McDaniel, MD

Dr. D. Lee McDaniel is an experienced cataract and glaucoma surgeon who has performed nearly 45,000 procedures through the end of 2024. His expertise includes laser-assisted cataract surgery, premium intraocular lens technology, and surgical correction of astigmatism and presbyopia. He also provides a full range of glaucoma treatment, from minimally invasive glaucoma surgery to traditional procedures, allowing treatment to be tailored to each patient’s disease and long-term visual goals. Dr. McDaniel works closely with referring optometrists and other eye care providers throughout diagnosis, surgery, and postoperative management. He is also deeply involved in medical mission work and has participated in international outreach, including ongoing work with See Him Ministries in Cap Haitien, Haiti. Ongoing follow-up is an important part of glaucoma care, allowing treatment to be adjusted as pressure measurements and structural or functional testing change. As a consultative optometrist, this role includes detailed evaluation, medical eye care, surgical co-management, and communication with referring providers when specialty treatment is needed.
