Prescription Eyeglasses and Sunglasses
Glasses are more than a prescription. They are something you wear every day, and the right pair should reflect your style as much as your vision needs. Our optical shops carry a selection of frames and lenses for everyday wear, work, and outdoor use, including prescription sunglasses.
Our optical team is here to help you find frames that fit your face, your lifestyle, and your personality. Whether you are drawn to classic shapes, bold styles, or something in between, we will match your look to your prescription and the lens options that perform best for you. We are proud to partner with Shamir, offering their premium lenses and lens treatments for clear, comfortable vision.

Contact Lenses
AVP•SEES Group providers perform contact lens evaluations and fittings to ensure your lenses fit comfortably and provide optimal vision. A contact lens prescription requires a separate fitting appointment from your standard glasses prescription.
We fit patients for a range of contact lens types, including:
- Soft contact lenses, including daily, bi-weekly, and monthly replacement schedules
- Toric lenses for astigmatism correction
- Multifocal contact lenses for presbyopia
- Rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses, which offer crisp vision and long-term durability
- Hard contact lenses for specialized corneal conditions
Your AVP•SEES provider will recommend the lens type best suited to your prescription, corneal shape, and daily habits.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do all AVP•SEES Group locations offer optical services?
No. Optical shops are available at select locations. All AVP•SEES Group locations offer comprehensive eye exams and can provide you with a glasses or contact lens prescription.
Can I use my glasses prescription from my AVP•SEES exam at your optical shop?
Yes. If your location has an on-site optical shop, you can fill your prescription the same day as your exam. You are also free to take your prescription and fill it anywhere else you choose.
Do I need a separate prescription for contact lenses?
Yes. A contact lens prescription is separate from a glasses prescription. It includes measurements specific to contact lens fitting, such as base curve and diameter. Your provider will conduct a contact lens evaluation to determine the right fit for your eyes.
What is the difference between soft and rigid gas permeable (RGP) contact lenses?
Soft lenses are flexible and generally more comfortable right away, making them the most common choice. RGP lenses are firm, allow more oxygen to reach the cornea, and often provide sharper vision. They require an adjustment period but may be recommended for patients with certain prescriptions or corneal conditions.
Can I get contacts if I have astigmatism?
Yes. Toric contact lenses are designed specifically for astigmatism and are available in both soft and rigid gas permeable options. Your provider will assess your prescription and determine whether toric lenses are appropriate for you.
How often do I need a contact lens exam?
Most providers recommend an annual contact lens evaluation to confirm your prescription is current and that your lenses continue to fit correctly. Your eye health can change over time, and regular exams help catch issues early.
