She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is affiliated with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Ophthalmological Society, American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, and the Costenbader Society. Her contributions to pediatric ophthalmology include scientific lectures, published research, and ongoing investigation into topics such as the relationship between strabismus and sinus disease, surgical treatment of superior oblique palsy, and repair of trauma-related diplopia. In 2016, she received the Costenbader Society’s David S. Friendly Honor Award. Her work has also been published in textbook and eBook form by Thieme under the title “Strabismus Surgery, Innovative and Classic Approaches.” Her pediatric approach emphasizes age-appropriate examination techniques, clear communication with families, and treatment plans suited to a child’s developmental needs. Early identification of visual problems can be especially important in children, and she focuses on careful assessment of visual development and ocular alignment.
