Joshua A. Hicks, MD

Dr. Joshua A. Hicks is a board-certified ophthalmologist with Mountain Empire Eye Physicians, providing comprehensive medical and surgical eye care in Bristol, Marion, Cedar Bluff, and surrounding communities. He graduated summa cum laude from King College with double majors in chemistry and biology and earned his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Hicks completed an internal medicine internship at East Tennessee State University and ophthalmology residency training at the University of Alabama Department of Ophthalmology. His clinical interests include cataract surgery, glaucoma, dry eye syndrome, and medical retina care, with a specialty in small-incision cataract surgery.
