Karmen Holdinghausen, OD, FAAO
Dr. Karmen Holdinghausen is an optometrist and Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry serving patients through Harman Eye Center. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Truman State University, graduating cum laude, and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry, graduating magna cum laude. She completed an ocular disease residency at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 2005. Before joining Harman Eye Center, Dr. Holdinghausen practiced in a surgical co-management center in Memphis for 17 years, where she was active in optometric education, faculty appointments, residency supervision, and externship direction. Her clinical background supports comprehensive optometry, ocular disease care, and surgical co-management with an emphasis on exceptional patient outcomes.
