Katherine Jones, OD
Dr. Katherine “Katie” Jones is a consultative optometrist whose primary clinical interest is ocular disease. She graduated cum laude from the University of Missouri in Columbia and earned her Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, graduating magna cum laude. She then completed an ocular disease residency with SouthEast Eye Specialists in Chattanooga, where she gained advanced experience caring for patients with a wide range of eye conditions. Dr. Jones was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society and received several academic and clinical honors, including the Susan Grissom Memorial Endowed Award, Clinical Skills Award, and Elizabeth R. Bane Memorial Endowed Scholarship. The consultative model supports continuity of care by coordinating diagnosis, treatment recommendations, perioperative management, and follow-up with the patient’s broader eye care team. This approach allows complex ocular findings to be evaluated in a specialty setting while maintaining close communication with referring optometrists and ophthalmologists.
