Matthew Albright, MD

Dr. Matthew Albright is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist whose practice focuses on the medical and surgical care of cataracts and corneal disease, along with LASIK vision correction. His corneal expertise includes partial-thickness transplantation techniques such as DSAEK for endothelial dysfunction, Fuchs’ corneal dystrophy, and corneal swelling, as well as DALK for keratoconus and corneal scarring. He also treats ocular surface disease with procedures including pterygium excision and amniotic membrane transplantation. In cataract surgery, Dr. Albright uses micro-incision techniques and offers a range of intraocular lens options, including aspheric, toric, and multifocal lenses. For laser vision correction, he performs custom wavefront-guided, all-laser LASIK using the IntraLase platform. His approach to cataract care combines detailed preoperative evaluation, individualized lens planning, precise surgery, and coordinated postoperative follow-up. He helps patients understand how cataracts affect vision and reviews surgical options with attention to visual goals, ocular health, and daily activities. When surgery is appropriate, treatment planning is tailored to the patient’s eye health, refractive needs, and expectations for vision after the procedure.
