Michael E. Green, MD

Dr. Michael Green has practiced ophthalmology in Sumner County since 1994. As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, he provides treatment and surgery for cataracts, retinal conditions including macular degeneration, LASIK, and oculoplastic concerns. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. His professional and community service has included membership on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Academy of Ophthalmology and service as president of the Gallatin Lions Club, where he supported the Vanderbilt Children’s Eye Center. His oculoplastic practice addresses both functional and reconstructive concerns involving the eyelids, orbit, tear drainage system, and surrounding facial structures. Treatment plans are developed with attention to ocular protection, comfort, visual function, facial symmetry, and the specific anatomy involved. He evaluates each condition individually to determine whether observation, office-based treatment, surgery, or coordinated specialty care is most appropriate.
