Paige N. Thompson, OD, FAAO

Dr. Paige Thompson is a consultative optometrist specializing in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease. A native of Binghamton, New York, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Syracuse University while competing as a Division I athlete in cross country and track and field. After conducting research at the University of Colorado, she attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, earning her Doctor of Optometry in 2016 as class valedictorian. During training, she served as a teaching assistant in clinical skills and optics laboratories, worked as a tutor, and supported the admissions department. Her practice includes comprehensive examinations, medical eye care, and coordination with ophthalmology specialists. As a consultative optometrist, this role includes detailed evaluation, medical eye care, surgical co-management, and communication with referring providers when specialty treatment is needed. The consultative model supports continuity of care by coordinating diagnosis, treatment recommendations, perioperative management, and follow-up with the patient’s broader eye care team.
