Tracy Schroeder-Swartz, OD, MS, FAAO
Dr. Tracy Schroeder-Swartz is a consultative optometrist with more than 30 years of experience and special expertise in cornea and anterior segment disease, dry eye, and surgical co-management. She earned both her Doctor of Optometry and a master’s degree in physiological optics from Indiana University School of Optometry, where she also completed residency training. Dr. Schroeder-Swartz is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. In addition to clinical practice, she is active in ophthalmic education and professional leadership, has authored textbooks and peer-reviewed publications, serves on editorial boards, and is president of the Optometric Cataract, Cornea and Refractive Surgery Society. Her approach to cataract care combines detailed preoperative evaluation, individualized lens planning, precise surgery, and coordinated postoperative follow-up. She helps patients understand how cataracts affect vision and reviews surgical options with attention to visual goals, ocular health, and daily activities.
