William M. Goodman, MD
Dr. William Goodman earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1978 and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis in 1982. He completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga in 1986, followed by fellowship training in cornea and external disease at the Eye and Ear Institute of Pittsburgh in 1987. Dr. Goodman is board-certified in ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, Tennessee Academy of Ophthalmology, and Tennessee Medical Association. Throughout his career, he has also participated in civic organizations and medical mission work. He and his wife, Suzanne, have lived in Nashville since 1987 and have two adult sons. When surgery is appropriate, treatment planning is tailored to the patient’s eye health, refractive needs, and expectations for vision after the procedure.
